What it's about
Alice (Hedda Stiernstedt) and Nova (Josefin Asplund) are Swedish music artists who share the same manager, Viktor (Johan Rheborg). Alice is an established pop singer who balances her career with the responsibilities of being a married mother of two. After a decade of success, she is facing a career slide and struggling to stay relevant. Nova, by contrast, is a new but raw singer-songwriter who has just won the Song of the Year award at the Grammis. Nova has her own problems, however, including a cocaine addiction and a dysfunctional relationship with a hanger-on boyfriend. When Viktor persuades them that doing a joint tour together will benefit both their careers, Alice and Nova realize they must both leave their comfort zones to make it work. Sparks fly as their musical collaboration achieves everything Viktor had hoped for, but what he could not have foreseen was the two singers becoming romantically involved. As events back home threaten to pierce the bubble within which their relationship has grown, the question for Alice and Nova becomes how much are you prepared to sacrifice for something that feels so right?
