Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2, 2026

We take care to protect personal data from unauthorized access. Processing on https://wheretowatchtv.com is carried out in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), applicable Ontario law, and, where they apply to you, the EU/UK GDPR and US state privacy laws.

Additional region-specific terms below apply only to people in those places. California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and certain other US state rights are described in their own sections.

1. Responsible party

The organization responsible for personal data on this Site is:
Creatr Studios Inc.
5 Mariner Terrace
Toronto, Ontario, Canada M5V 3V6
Email: [email protected]

For GDPR purposes, Creatr Studios Inc. is the controller of personal data processed through the Site. Independent companies (Google, Amazon, Netflix, Impact, and other services you open) are controllers of data they collect after you leave our pages or when you allow their technologies to run.

2. Data processing on our website

When you visit the Site, our web server temporarily stores each request in a log file. Typical fields include:

  • IP address of the requesting computer
  • Date and time of access
  • Name and URL of the requested file
  • Whether the retrieval succeeded
  • Browser and operating-system identification

This data is processed so we can deliver the Site, keep it secure, administer the server, and understand aggregate use. We do not combine these logs with other sources to identify you. Logs are deleted after operational and statistical use, unless we must keep a record for security or law.

Legal basis where GDPR applies: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating a secure public website). In Canada: information we need to provide and protect the service.

3. Collection, processing and use of personal data

We do not require an account. Titles you save stay in your browser on this device. A shared list link only contains the titles you chose to share; we do not attach that list to a name or account. We collect other personal data only if you give it to us, typically when you email [email protected] about a listing or another question. We use that address and message to handle your request and keep it only as long as needed, unless the law requires a longer period.

TV guide times are converted in your browser using your device timezone. We do not ask for a ZIP code or precise GPS for listings. We may use your IP address only to guess whether to show United States, Canada, United Kingdom, or Australia streaming listings. You can change country at any time. Other countries see United States listings.

Title metadata, posters, ratings, watch links, and TV listings are catalogue and schedule data about movies and programmes, not profiles of you.

Legal basis where GDPR applies: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR when the message relates to a request you made; otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. In Canada: the purpose you would reasonably expect when you contact us.

4. Functional storage and consent

We store your Consent Management choices in local storage on your device so we do not have to ask on every visit and so we can show we respected your choice. That storage is needed for the Site to remember Accept all or Save Settings.

You can clear site data in your browser. Doing so may reset those choices. You can change them anytime via Consent Management in the footer.

Legal basis where GDPR applies: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR for storing the choice itself; Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR for any non-essential tool that runs only after you allow it.

5. Interest-based advertising and measurement

If you allow personalised advertising, measurement, and audience research, we may measure how the Site is used and whether advertising or affiliate activity is effective. We do not collect financial data from you on this Site. We do not sell user-level lists of which titles a named person clicked.

If you do not allow those purposes, Google Analytics storage stays denied. We still operate the guide.

We do not use your device GPS. The geolocation toggle in Consent Management is stored as your preference; the Site does not currently collect precise geolocation or scan your device for identification.

Legal basis where GDPR applies: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent) for those optional purposes.

6. Affiliate links

The Site includes affiliate links and similar references to third-party streaming, rental, and purchase offers. If you click those links and later take up an offer, Creatr Studios Inc. may receive a commission. Partners include Amazon Associates and Impact.

To attribute a click, the destination URL may include values such as an Amazon tag or an Impact partner id. After you leave our Site, the merchant or network may set its own cookies. We do not control those cookies. Attribution data is used for commission accounting.

Legal basis where GDPR applies: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in attributing commissions on outbound links you choose to follow); Art. 6 (1) (a) where a partner’s tag requires consent.

7. Google

We use Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, and Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”).

Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers to measure pages viewed, approximate location from IP, device information, and similar usage. Data may be processed in the United States. Google’s terms describe Standard Contractual Clauses and other transfer tools. See Google’s privacy policy and advertising technologies.

A connection for Analytics measurement is intended only after you allow advertising, measurement, and audience research in Consent Management. You can withdraw that consent there at any time. You may also use Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on.

Legal basis where GDPR applies: Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and, for transfers, the safeguards Google documents for international processing.

8. California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the CPRA, may give you rights over “personal information.” That term does not include public government records, de-identified or aggregated data, or information outside the CCPA’s scope. Creatr Studios Inc. acts as a “business” for personal information this Site collects about California consumers.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you. Collection and sharing are as described in sections 2–7.

You may have the right to know, delete, obtain a portable copy, correct inaccuracies, and not be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Email [email protected] to make a request. We will take reasonable steps to verify you. An authorized agent must show authority to act.

California “Shine the Light”: we do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct-mail marketing in the sense of that statute. Questions: the same email.

9. Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut and certain other US state privacy rights

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and certain other US states may have rights to know, access, port, delete, correct, and opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or certain profiling. We do not sell personal data. You can opt out of measurement and advertising storage via Consent Management.

Email [email protected]. We aim to respond within 45 days (longer if the law allows for complex requests). If we cannot fulfil a request, you may ask us to look at that decision again. Nevada residents who wish to opt out of a sale of covered data may use the same address with the subject “Nevada Do Not Sell Request.”

10. How we store and protect your data

The Site is hosted on infrastructure that may be in Canada or the United States. Email you send us is processed so we can reply. Access to personal information is limited to people who need it to operate the Site.

Transmission to the Site uses HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy or as required by law.

11. Your rights and options

11.1 Cookies and consent

You can refuse non-essential cookies and similar storage in Consent Management or in your browser. Blocking all cookies may limit some features. Industry opt-outs such as aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com may also help for participating advertising networks. We store your Site consent locally so we do not have to ask again until you clear it or change it.

11.2 Canada (PIPEDA) and Ontario

You may request access to personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. You may withdraw consent for optional processing, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. You may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Quebec residents may have additional rights under Law 25.

11.3 GDPR

If GDPR or UK GDPR applies, you may have rights of access (Art. 15), correction (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), portability (Art. 20), withdrawal of consent (Art. 7 (3)), objection (Art. 21), and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77).

To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. We may need enough detail to find any data we actually hold — much of browsing is not tied to a name.

11.4 Children

The Site is a general-audience guide. It is not directed at children under 13 (or the age of digital consent where you live). We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Contact us if you believe we have, and we will delete it.

11.5 Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you have read the revised policy.
