When Michael meets up with Jessie's former girlfriend Kate Porter, a district attorney whom is investigating her own father, Harry S. Potter, whom is the mayor of Los Angeles, Michael soon finds himself in deep trouble when he thinks that Jessie may be alive and is targeting him for the things gone wrong with his life, leading to Michael getting framed for Mayor Potter's murder and relentlessly pursued by a persistent detective named Russell Stark.
