What it's about
Edgar arrives at the prestigious University of Coimbra to go back to his law studies. During a typical rasganço ceremony, where students rip each others' university robes, Edgar meets Ana Rita, a middle-class student, and seduces her, but she's not his only lover. The rigidly élite university context lead Edgar to perform symbolic and violent acts against young female students.
