What it's about
Ian is under pressure to finish his second book. When he then sees his girlfriend kissing another man in the street, he has a sudden impulse - after watching a commercial for an inn in Italy - and decides to go there. The place is run by Giacomo and his daughter Arianna. Ian tries to continue working on his book, but progress is slow, and he soon becomes involved in life at the olive farm. He is fascinated by Arianna, who seems to live a complicated life helping her father run the place. Soon he is also joined by Audrey, his aunt, who is also a writer. With Arianna as his inspiration, Ian finally gets his book moving - but unresolved issues catches up.
