What it's about
Medical representative Anand Mahtur lives middle-class life with his second wife Beena and five daughters. His first wife passed away when her three daughters were very small; Anand has two daughters with Beena; and they all live as a family--including Anand's first wife, who speaks to him from her photo frame. Their five daughters are: feminist Meenakshi who fights for women's rights; Radhika, the most-educated in the family who can solve any problem except her sight and hearing loss; Sweety, who wants to be a model and is in love with Shahrukh; Kajal a tomboy better known as Kajal Bhai, a local goon; and the youngest, Choti, around whom swirls lots of gossip. All five sisters take up a new issue each episode, supported by Beena and causing trouble for Anand.
