What it's about
In a sleepy town in Tamil Nadu the unimaginable happens-a thief breaks into a sub-jail in the dead of night and steals a temple donation box kept inside. What begins as an embarrassing internal scandal quickly spirals into a chaotic, small-town investigation led by an unlikely duo: a literature-obsessed aller who hands out books as punishment, and a young, overconfident constable who secretly craves the thrill of being a hero cop. As the duo try to cover up the theft while simultaneously solving it, they wade through an eccentric web of suspects: a coffinmaker imprisoned for a suspicious death, two reformed robbers who hate books more than jail time, a pair of wannabe influencer factory workers, and a bus conductor who may be far more than he seems. With each episode, the story deepens-revealing secrets, rivalries, and high-stakes personal conspiracies hidden beneath the surface of everyday life. Superstition clashes with logic, ego outpaces competence, and petty ambitions trigger wild consequences. Meanwhile, the stolen donation box becomes a symbol-of guilt, pride, and hope-for everyone touched by its absence. As the investigation intensifies, personal lives unravel, unlikely romances bloom, and the lines between innocent and guilty, criminal and victim, start to blur. This is a darkly comic, emotionally grounded whodunit told with local flavor, character-driven humor, and surprising heart. At its core, it's about lonely people-trying to be heard, understood, and redeemed-in a town that's finally paying attention for all the wrong reasons.
