What it's about
Nach dem Abi soll alles anders werden: Carlo steht kurz vor einem heiß ersehnten und lange erspartem Work-&-Travel-Jahr in Australien. Davon erhofft er sich all das, was ihm die schwäbische Provinz bisher vorenthielt: Surfen, Sex und Selbstbestimmung. Doch der Traum zerplatzt, als er in der Nacht des Abiballs den geliebten Oldtimer seines Vaters (Bernd Gnann) zu Schrott fährt. Zum Abstottern des Schadens wird Carlo zu einem Sommer mit Work-ohne-Travel in der Gastwirtschaft seiner Eltern verdonnert. Maultaschen statt Melbourne, und das mit dem Surfen hat sich auch erledigt.
